JOY

"... This isn't a bad LP. "Joy" is clearly the centerpiece--I get the impression that it was a 1972 single first, followed with this album. Parker's classical arrangements seem pretty consistent--although the saxophone- heavy "Air for the G String" sounds a little out of place. The original material varies, too. "Late for the Sky" sounds suspiciously like "Joy", and the latter half of each side I can take or leave depending on my listening mood. ..."
'Joy' is available as 2 zip files at Snow Day.
