Studio Multitracks - Tracks in Isolation is an intersting music blog where Henry posts well-known songs on which one or several tracks has been separeted from the multitracks of the finished product. For example if you have been waiting all your life to hear just the vocals from Def Leppard's "Rock of Ages", or just Debbie Harry's vocal track to "Hanging on the Telephone" (at least some of it), or if you are a slut for Eddie Van Halen' guitar work on Michael Jackson's "Beat It", or as in my case loves to listen to the Vocals/Keyboard/Bass/Drums/Guitar Solo tracks of The Carpenters "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" this is the place for You!

Music From The Third Floor is dead. Long live MFT3F!

For the last four years PC has been posting around 200 Bollywood soundtrack rips along with 7 absolutely great volumes of personal favorites (get the last 7th volume one here) on the blog Music From The Third Floor. What an effort! And what a pleasure it has been to, that from time to time, visiting the blog and always find something new there.

All You Need Is Fab.

Becca over at No Smoking in the Skull Cave has found a few fun pieces of Beatles memorabilia from back in the day. I'm not sure that the same kids who were buying the Beatles bow ties were reading this particular tract, though.

But that leads to the next new find -- a new music project called The Beatles Complete on Ukulele. A couple of Brooklyn lads (and assorted guest artists) are recording ukulele-based covers of every Beatles original tune and releasing one a week. This week's track is "Run For Your Life."

The project began on Inauguration Day and the grand finale is planned to coincide with the opening of the 2012 Olympics. Mighty ambitious for guys with funny little guitars, eh?

60's asian a go-go beat

Hooray ! This morning i received a package from Japan :
3 CD-Rs samplers generously send to me by Mr Pretty Flamingo. Yes about 100 tracks of original 60's rock garage beats from asia for FREE. All he asks in return is that you do the same with your own favorite music , that's a deal ! His samplers are rips from original LPs and 45rpms , one of the samplers is dedicated to the Honk Kong scene.
I have to confess here that i did not finish yet ripping my own 60's french a go-go beat records ... i am working on it, don't worry pretty, i will send the CD-Rs as soon as possible !
Now i know what some of you might say : he could simply share .mp3 files samplers online ! My answer is : there is not better feeling than to open his mailbox in the morning and to found a little package from the other side of planet earth with unknown music inside !
