Hey hey, today's special is music!

Have you heard the news?!

Our famous friend Jan Turkenburg (yes, the same...) has released his first CD – one of those cool silver round things – of children’s songs on my label WM Recordings. It includes 10 really nice and funny songs. All in Dutch, but the CD also includes the instrumental versions, so you can make up your own words!

You can preview the CD at Last.fm:

http://tinyurl.com/cs5944

(You can even download the title track for free!)

The CD can be ordered from www.meneerjan.nl (press the big shiny PayPal button) or directly from me.

best wishes,

Marco

Album cover artistery: Lover's concerto

Album cover art: Yvonne mé Lallas - Lover's concerto, posted by Herr Dryck, the Swedish dude running the very visual and very fun blog for awful album cover art (Katastrofala Omslag).

About the above cover he says:
"Finns det ett speciellt uttryck för när man kräks så häftigt att det sprutar rakt fram genom näsan?"
(Transl~ "Is there a specific expression for when vomiting so forceful it's squirting right out of your nose?")

Ugly Doggy tells us about The Bunny House ("... an online collection of sex selling design and advertising from around the world such as flyers, postcards, posters, etc.") and their recent post about Vintage Paper Condom Envelopes from the 1930s & 1940s. Very interesting and fun.

Homotopy sphere - That Incredible Magical Instrument

Create the sleeve art to your own "fictional" band.
A fun meme via Quiddity.

>Your band name comes from the first article title of a random wikipedia entry.
>Your album title is
the last four words of the final quote on this page.
>Your album cover art is
the 3rd picture on this page of random Flickr images.

We are hard, bald and vegetarians.
We kill people on stage. Real people. People we don't like. We don't eat them. We just kill.
We used to have alot of groupies. They are all gone now. The audience seem to diminish for every year too.
We rock. We are artists. We have something important to say. If you don't listen - FUCK YOU.

Rock on!

Red China Rocks

Uploaded by Rockalain on Lp Cover Lover.

" I’m glad to propose this funny LP cover of a 1970’s UK Rock & Roll Band “The Rock ‘n’ Roll Allstars”. Their attempt at a Red China tour was a disaster. The Chinese were not ready to hear this kind of music in the Seventies. The story goes that they played just one show before they were asked to leave the country. Maybe they were the first rock and roll band to play in China? "
