You made me what I am!
YOU CREATED A MONSTER
From the 1964 Decca LP The Newest Teen-age Singing Group The Munsters.
A great song for any man who has been wronged by a woman.

R.I.P., Chris Udvarnoky.
"The Other" (1972) is a great, unsung creepy kid movie that's perfect for Halloween. That should be enough of a recommendation to watch it this weekend, but today comes the sad news that one of the twin stars, Chris Udvarnoky, has died. This was the last film he and his brother Martin ever made, and they seem to have spent the last nearly 40 years trying to run away from movie stardom. Luckily, they left us with this spooky gift of a movie before retiring. If you're in the States, you can catch it on TCM tonight.

Sonic Safari Halloween Mix

The employees of The Discotheque At The End Of The Universe are on strike after one of the girls supervising the Cardassian roulette presumably was eaten by flying zombies from the Alpha Piscis Austrini system. Nogatiations will probably take a week. The management advices the regulars to go on a halloween sonic safari instead:

Careful With That Axe, You Meanie

Careful With That Axe, You Meanie - A Manchester Morgue Halloween Compilation.
With a list including names like David Bowie, The 5,6,7,8s, Type O Negative, Flock of Seagulls, Messer Chups and The Bee Gees it is probably safe to say you'll not get bored on Halloween. Scared, perhaps. Bored, not very likely.

Scary Movies.
Since Halloween is approaching, it's naturally a good time for another round of "What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?" At the top of my short list is the original version of "The Haunting" from 1963. What's yours?

I Dig You Baby

Why wait until Halloween for dorky Mummy, Frankenstein, and vampire music when it's available now at Bongos/Flutes/Guitars right now? But for my money, I prefer the Bingo cha cha, the take off on Les Baxter's Quiet Village, and the beatnik parody....they could even make a reading of the Beverly Hills telephone directory entertaining....and in fact that's the name of one of the songs.

Something is moving, sliding, crawling, lurking, visualizing evil things in it's corrupted mind in the dark. In the dark. Oh, in the dark.
Ok, so it's halloween, that doesn't mean all are just tricks and costumes. And don't say I didn't warn you, when you end up in the ER with a Gary Glitter dvd stuffed down your throat and a Samantha Fox picture disc stabbed in your back. And the doctors and the little sick little kids just laughs and laughs and laughs and laughs and laughs. And laughs.
