A Taco Supreme

image: newwavecrashing (Tumblr)

I found out about this through a legitimate news source on Jazz music. A Taco Supreme is supposedly a mash-up of Coltrane. I searched and it appears the source of this creation has pulled the mp3 offline or it never was real to begin with.
Has any of you heard anything more about this project?

Heh, it showed up on an NPR blog (http://www.npr.org/blogs/ablogsupreme/2010/10/06/130384274/a-taco-supreme?ft=1&f=10002), but it looks like it may be more part of a bunch of Photoshopped album cover spoofs: http://albumtacos.tumblr.com/.

Mashups, but visual mashups, yes? Love the Iggy Pop & Gorillaz & Residents goofs. Some of the others, meh. Nice trope, though.

Well, if anyone ever does track it down, I've GOT to hear it!

S, okay…alright…What you are saying makes sense. I thought it may have been a spoof but at the same time, it would be a great project for a craft d.j. to take on! I did track down the A Taco Supreme album spoof to a music site and it appeared to be g-o-n-e.

Bill, as my post alludes to…I completely agree with you!

Dusty, I utterly agree. So much music would be improved by a little taco/burrito infusion...and Chthulhu knows, most Norteño/Tejano/Conjunto would be VASTLY enhanced by some cross-pollination involving music that did not invoke disturbing devolutions of Bavarian oom-pah-pah songs.
