Roadkill, Both Wacky and Whimsical
Who Killed Cock Robin? Your diorama-creating neighbor, the one who pretty much stays to himself, puttering in his potting shed. I watch enough of those serial killer TV shows to know that the local prostitutes should best beware.
Janet Leigh and the Fez-men
A fez is attractive, we all know that. But putting fire in the heart of a man wearing a fez is dangerous business.

Fold on the Dotted Line
As a symbol of my heartfelt affection (and cheap ass camera) I offer this Valentine to loyal (and what the hell, fickle too) PCL readers. Cut out from your monitor screen, fold on the dotted lines, stand up and enjoy.

Polka Kats
A real warbler for ya. From the sounds of it, the lead singer liked his Roofies.

The Mossi File - Part VI - Video Edition
For those of you who are fortunate enough to be worthy of my "friendship" on that social network thingamajiggy, you are aware of my Card Of The Day project. For the past 365 days, I have featured a bubble gum card of my youth as the feature and then enjoyed and/or endured your snarky comments.
As a final gift to my legions, I spent a good 1/2 hour toiling over this video edit of selected cards to the strains of the Harry Simeone Singers - It's a Beautiful Day for a Ballgame.

Herbie Hancock - Blow-Up - Main Title (1966, Flash Video 01:35). From the film directed by Michelangelo Antonioni.
Hi-Fi Masterpiece
There are so many gems on this crappy-kitsch Hi-Fi Masterpiece (it says so on the back cover, so it MUST be true) I had trouble deciding which to use as an example. If soap opera organ meets flirtatiously eloquent accordion combo is YOUR cup of tea, go get this winner from the Triads, this one will grace my playlists for some time to come.
The Triads - El Cumbanchero
Mercy!
I have a special place in my heart for obscure B-side throwaways, such as this mid-sixties Don Covay tune that crams in as many references to hit tunes and dances as he could in two minutes and twenty seconds. More Don Covay can be found at Flash 1964 di Generizioni e "Pick-up".

For some, they're hors d'oevres
These singing pills remind us not to become "delirious" when mommy spills her oxycontin on the bathroom counter.

John Byner
John Byner did the voices for the cartoon The Ant and the Aardvark, which appeared in the Pink Panther Cartoon series from 1969-1971. The characters are voiced by Byner's impressions of Dean Martin and Jackie Mason. There were 17 theatrical shorts directed by Friz Freleng, (Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies).
Byner guest starred in many television shows including Get Smart, The Odd Couple, Soap and Hollywood Squares. He also hosted the television show Bizarre. He's married to actress Annie Gaybis. His official website is here.
From WIKI: In German-dubbed versions of the cartoon, the protagonists no longer imitate well-known actors. The male aardvark is transformed into a female anteater named Elise (Eliza). Charlie (voiced by Fred Maire) remains male, but is no longer a Dean Martin parody. Elise is voiced by Marianne Wischmann, one of Germany's most renowned voice actresses.
