Bryan's Lounge is doing its part to help stimulate the economy by offering a mess of swell production music tunes you might have heard at the local E. J. Korvette's or Woolworth's circa 1960. Although it has the effect of making me want to go out and buy some hair nets or some Tangee orange lipstick.
There's even a tune called Tater Tot Parade, damn I'm getting hungry!

I was thrilled to note the return of the delightful 45blog which appears to be back full strength after a lengthy hiatus. Standout sides offered right now (the first two entries surely belong in the Galeria of Failed Dance Crazes)--"Do the Boston Monkey" by Les Cooper & the Soul Rockets; "Do the Slow Fizz" by the Combo Kings; and the mind-numbingly schlocky production music tune "Spring Fever" penned by the appropriately pretentious "Music by Camarata". Long live 45blog!

Let the Swing and Strings Library Music-a-Go-Go Fantasy Commence

Soon after I posted a collection of the 1960s TV commercial background music I own I got a note from a generous person named Bryan who seems to have a great knowledge of the genre--as well as a great collection of the music, which he then shared with me. And also allowed me to share it here with you, in all of its schlocky 60s goodness.
An exhaustive description of what library music is (I found it rather exhausting as well), and a history of some of its most famous composers can be found here.

1960s Commercial music

There are lots of great vintage ads available hawking the concession stands at Drive-in movies. My favorite part of these ads is the cheesy music.
