The Chicago Cultural Center is hosting an exhibit of the recently discovered work of Chicagoland street photographer Vivian Maier. Maier supported herself as a nanny until her death in 2009, at which time the body of work (numbering in the tens of thousands of negatives, an undeveloped film) was discovered. She lived in the Rogers Park area during the same era that I did....who knows, maybe I'll see some photos of me at the exhibition!
Thanks to Jack Mord of the Thanatos archive who led me to these exceptional photographs.
