The Manley Aristocrat
Ignore the video's technical issues and enjoy the images of a classic 1940s vintage popcorn machine that was used for many years in a small town movie theater by the legendary (locally, at least) "Popcorn Lady". The Artcraft Theatre still shows vintage movies (on 35mm by a real projectionist), so if you ever find yourself driving between Louisville and Indianapolis some weekend, get off the highway at exit 90 and enjoy the show.

The Kim Sisters

The Kim Sisters was a South Korean female trio who made their career in U.S. during 1950s and 60s. They were Sue (Sook-ja), Aija (Ai-ja) and their cousin Mia Kim. Sue and Aija were two of seven children of Kim Hae-song, a classical music conductor, and Lee Nan-young, one of Korea's most famous singers before the Korean War, perhaps best known for "the Tears of Mokpo." Mia's father was Lee Bong-ryong, a musician as well.
The sisters arrived in Las Vegas in 1959 and first performed at the Thunderbird Hotel, where producer Tom Ball did a show with Asian artists. Their successful performances at the Thunderbird led them to the Stardust where Ed Sullivan saw the trio and invited the sisters to perform on his show. The sisters performed on the Ed Sullivan show more than 22 times.

Juan Ignacio Pardo Suarez (1942, Palma de Mallorca) and Antonio Morales Barreto "Junior" (1943, Philippines).
They started their career in Los Pekenikes and Brincos in the 60's. In February 1967 they formed the duo John and Junior. Their discography is short (only 6 singles) but full of successes.
In 1968 be responsible for composing the entire soundtrack and songs from the movie A dos niñas, directed by Luis Lucia Mingarro and starring Marisol and Palomo Linares.
One day John, in the absence of Junior tried to correct a recording of John's voice with his own. This was the end of the duo. They continued as solo artists.

Doris
Doris Svensson (shortly just Doris) is a Swedish singer. She started out in the beginning of the 1960s. In 1963 she debuted on Swedish Television in the show Drop In (at the very same show as The Beatles, during their first international tour after their break-through).
She sang "Save All Your Love For Me" backed up by The Telstars and Gals and Pals.
Later on she were in bands such as The Plums and The Dandys before she recorded the remarkable album soul/jazz album 'Did You Give the World Some Love Today Baby' with Berndt Egerbladh. That album wasn't a hit at the time but become a well sought-after gem during the mid 1990s and was re-issued and received attention from alternative soul/funk/jazz aficionados around the word and some of the album tracks has been sampled by well-known hip-hop acts.

EVARISTE
" Often regarded as the French Kim Fowley, Evariste is a well-kept secret needing to get out there NOW. Genius, creative and with a very poisoned language in the lyrics of his songs. A mix between ye ye, garage and hallucinated experimental rock. Evariste is probably one of the most interesting musicians from the French 60s rock scene, though maybe too weird to have really had that recognition from the public and media at the time! And Michel Colombier is involved in these recordings too! This first time ever reissue of his works includes his complete discography, thats two Eps and one single. Remastered sound, and limited to 500 copies. "A portuguese label (no smoke records) released this LP a few days ago. Shame on the french record industry!
