Why Do You Think You Are Nuts?

Some important questions are put on display in this 80's cable access video.
We need to answer them. We really need to do that. Not just for our own sake. I think these three brave ladies are entitled to be enlightened too. Before they attack North Korea on their own.

Wich one would be your dreamgirl?

"Don't tell us you've seen them all before-we know, they've all appaered in Girl Illustrated - but we didn't think you'd mind seeing them again, aal in one spread, to save you the trouble of turning pages back and forth trying to work out which girl you liked best. We realise that it's likely to confuse your dream a little but if you've got the memory to tackle the thought of these seventeen beauties the effect could be quite bizarre as well as packed full of delights. Or perhaps you prefer to consider just one as your dream girl"

Virgin Witch

Virgin Witch

Oh boy, what a stinker this flick is. A pal and I attempted to watch this thing last night. It has very few redeeming qualities... it's your typical swinging-london-occult-nudie-flick... and when I say nudie... I mean NUDIE. There's early-70's-era Oh-Natural boobies and rear-ends every five minutes. Only once in the film, does 10 minutes go by without a painfully bright white tush or tit appearance. I don't even recall how this one ended... but I do remember the entire cast being naked for some reason.

So, if you like nudity (and I know I do), this is a charming piece of cinema for you and the rest of your family.

Calling All Fiends!

"Halloween is meant to be scary, right? Year after year we dust off the old silly 1950s and 1960s novelty records. While they are fun, they not at all frightening. Oddio Overplay put the challenge to musical artists the world over to create Halloween music that is "frightening, damaging and disturbing." No "Monster Mash," instead creepy soundtracks to a fiendish Halloween. They succeeded with CALLING ALL FIENDS! Some of these pieces will creep you right out of your skin."

Katya has gathered friends and fiends from all over the world (I have been told that one or two of these artists actually recorded their music from 6 feet under...) for the realization of this fiendish comp.

Scary titles included are "Devil's Candy Shop", "Half-Eating Baby Lions Nightmare", "Big Orange Monster", "Metempsychosis" and "Very Scary (Part 2)". The last two titles by my dutch friends Splogman and Weirdomusic.

Check it out! Hold my hand as we listen. I am here.

Terayama Shuji

"Poet, playright, theatre director, filmmaker, essayist, agitator and lover of all things anarchistic, chaotic, and truthful, TERAYAMA SHUJI (1936-1983) is one of Japan's most revered and respected artists. In the heady and extremist Japanese art scene of the late '70s, Terayama created a number of unforgettable and highly controversial films. EMPEROR TOMATO KETCHUP is his epic, sexually revolutionary and hallucinatory work from 1972 in which "magical women act as the initiatory, yet protectively maternal sexual partners to children. The children, in revolt, have condemned their parents to death for depriving them of self-expression and sexual freedom; they create a society in which fairies and sex education are equally important and literally combinable." (last part is a quote from Amos Vogel's 'Film as a Subversive Art')

Slow times at blogger.com

There have been severe slowdowns on blogger blogs (like this one on blogspot) due to server outages and all that jazz.

When you experience this while blogging you feel something’s wrong but you have no idea what is wrong and when the problems eventually will stop.
Oh, but not to worry! It’s really easy to receive information about the occuring problems. Just go to Blogger Status (”serves to keep Blogger users informed about Blogger's development, upgrades, outages and related issues.”) and you’ll know what’s up on the spot.
The funny thing is that everytime a problem (like slow downs and downtime) occurs it happens to Blogger Status as well. Well, it is a blogger blog.

It’s like calling 911 (Edit: 112 works much better for us Swedes, eller hur Fronning? Hur var det nu med den där historien då du var uppe och fylleklättrade på Atomium och fastnade med gylfen i en svetsfog. Var eller vem ringde du då?) to tell them there’s a big fire in your building and getting an answering machine on the end of the line saying: -Hello. You’ve dialed 911. Our building including the operator booth and the computer system burned down a few hours ago. So, unfortunately we are unable to take your call. Please call later. We sincerely hope you are ok. Call a relative or something....

This is of course not worthy a good service. It is no service at all. It’s amateurish to say the least.

Oh - and I know - you get what you pay for.

Marsha Gee: PEANUT DUCK mp3

"You've never listened to anything like Marsha Gee. No hard sell for this girl. She makes a few stabs at pushing out a raunchy soul growl, but mostly she's content to hang back, too cool or too bored, ending each line in a husk of breathy exhaustion that sounds like someone who's got a good buzz on and isn't about to disturb it. You want a rave-up? Go make it your damn self—that is, until the last 45 seconds of the song. Vamping to pad the number out to an acceptable length for a single, Marsha takes off, snorting and yelling and jabbering: "Quack, quack, quackgiggy, quackgiggy, brrrrrrrrr, quack, quack, giggy, giggy, gi-gi-gi-giggy-gooma, gi-gi-gi-gi-gi quackgiggy, quackgiggy, gi-gig-goom, gi-gig-goom, gi-gig-goom-goom" and all of a sudden we're in place where the rock 'n' roll faithful understand that more of the secrets and the mysteries of the universe are contained in nonsense syllables like "bop bop suki do wah dah" (from the Velvelettes' "He Was Really Sayin' Somethin' ") than in third-rate high-school poetry like "I Am a Rock" or "Both Sides Now." Whoever Marsha is or was, she fulfilled her earthly destiny on "Peanut Duck." "
