The Beatles Play The Residents and The Residents Play The Beatles

Shawn at The Entroporium tells us: "... Here today is one of The Residents' best and rarest works, 'The Beatles Play The Residents and The Residents Play The Beatles', an early version of what would now be known as a mash-up and a great example of the sense of humor that The Residents brought to everything they did. One of the most appealing aspects of following The Residents was their demolition of pop history, a recurring theme in their work. (See also The American Composer Series, The Third Reich n Roll, The King & Eye, etc.)
It's incredible that the copyright police let this one go through. Back in the day, eh? It was released originally as VERY limited edition 7", but can still be found on some European compilations."

Read the whole post and enjoy The Beatles The Residents.
