I saw it advertised on TV in the early 60s (along with about 80 million other Whamm-o products) and think I even saw one in a big discount department store. It ranks right up there with Mr. Microphone as one of the most un-fun products ever advertised on TV. You could duplicate the effect of the toy by tying your shoelaces together.
