Bob & Annetta

This is the Back Cover

Pastor McPurvis' Weekly mp3 Talent Show presents 'First Run' with Bob & Annetta. The good Pastor sais: "Up this week, life imitates art in this album from Bob & Annetta Glickman. If you have ever seen the recurring Saturday Night Live Skit with Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer as a couple of elementary school music teachers who moonlight as lounge singers, you will have a pretty good idea of what is represented in this recording. Billing themselves as the ‘duo with the 5-piece sound’, the Glickmans wind their way through a variety of popular songs with Bob singing and playing piano, synth, bass pedals, and bass guitar, and Annetta singing and playing the drums. Their ‘5-piece sound’ is achieved by a lot of overdubbing. Actually, they play and sing quite well. They sound stiff and completely devoid of any soul, but they sound good doing it. They obviously put a lot of thought into the arrangements. Check out ‘Feelings’ where they juxtapose ‘My Funny Valentine’ against the main melody in the second half. I also guarantee you have never heard ‘The Gambler’, ‘Fame’, and the songs in the ‘50’s Medley’ quite like this before. The Glickmans are still going strong and are currently running a successful DJ and wedding music service based out of Longwood, Florida. Have fun and as always, Enjoy!"

And enjoy I will!
