Bellybongo brought us tickets to the Hawaiian Paradise!

pcl2
My Swedish friend, Magnus - king of Bellybongo - has something great to share with us: "If searching out exotica music, there are records still pretty unknown, this record for example rarely appear on sale lists, Bill Jaffee is probably a fake name, but there are real person's listed on the back-cover, Jim Timmens and "the Armenian Yma Sumac" Anita Darian, (I shared her truly excellent exotica LP released on the KAPP label last year).
If meditative, eerie exotic music supplied by flute, percussion and female wordless vocals is your thing I recommend a download, I have had this LP more or less since the start of my exotica obsession, and it is always refreshing to hear, even after all the classic exotica records I have been exposed to. ..."

Bill Jaffee & His Islanders - Hawaiian Paradise

And the goodness doesn't stop there - Magnus goes on: "The "bonus" this week consist of two 7" records, first up is a US 50s organ trio doing "Night Train" and the Les Baxter exotica classic: "Quiet Village", the third track is supplied by Suzie, one hell of a Swedish femme! singing the Monkees song "I'm a believer" to Swedish hero Rune Öfwerman's Orchestra"

This is great news and GREAT music. Thanks, Magnus, you are "grädden på moset" as we say in some places of Sweden when something is a little better than very good.
