Drool @ Mr Bricklabel's Photostream

I am desperately un-in-love with Flickr, but one can't argue with success as in the case of the exquisite collection of fireworks labels at Mr Bricklabel's photostream I lust after this type of imagery, and he delivers in spades. Go there, but put away your matches.

Input from You please!

Hi, gangsters!

A while ago my fellow manager Baikinange alerted me about problems when adding labels to posts.
The message we get for trying to apply new labels looks like the image above:

"ERROR
A blog may have at most 2000 labels"
(and sometimes a message that "A blog may only have 10 labels per post")

So, we said darn! and begun removing labels and edit others. But, still this is a problem.
We have no idea how to best approach this problem.

We know that other blogspot bloggers are/have been experiencing similar problems.

All ideas and information on the subject are appreciated!!

Thanks!

Hey hey, today's special is music!

Have you heard the news?!

Our famous friend Jan Turkenburg (yes, the same...) has released his first CD – one of those cool silver round things – of children’s songs on my label WM Recordings. It includes 10 really nice and funny songs. All in Dutch, but the CD also includes the instrumental versions, so you can make up your own words!

You can preview the CD at Last.fm:

(You can even download the title track for free!)

The CD can be ordered from www.meneerjan.nl (press the big shiny PayPal button) or directly from me.

best wishes,

Marco

Fruit Labels

A couple of years ago I was priviliged to view the Art of the Orange gallery at Los Angeles Public Library and got to view pristine examples of label art, with accompanying explanations of how the grade of the fruit was embedded in the imagery on the labels (like the King David above which meant grade "A" fruit)

I found (accidentally again looking for proposal imagery) this wonderful collection of images from Cratelabelsonline which has good sized images, and a large collection of the classic California and West Coast agricultural marketing images.

Check it out - you won't regret it.
