The Mickey Katz Project
The comedic stylings of Mickey Katz have been a mainstay of the PCL legacy for many years. Some of his greatest shticks include Borscht Riders in the Sky, Barber of Schlemiel and She'll Be Coming 'Round the Katzkills.
Filmmaker Eric Krasner is making a documentary on the King of The Borscht Belt. A long overdue tribute to an American icon. He could use your help in getting the film completed so if it is in your heart go the The Mickey Katz Project page and send him a few shekels.
You'll be a better person for it.

Proud to be an American
This kid patriotically sings the gospel after the terror of 9/11 as the good christian kid he is. It may seem ...
But it is all a scam. He may look like Mr. Perfect in miniature. But his hands are giving him away.
This is Satan!

Drool @ Mr Bricklabel's Photostream
I am desperately un-in-love with Flickr, but one can't argue with success as in the case of the exquisite collection of fireworks labels at Mr Bricklabel's photostream I lust after this type of imagery, and he delivers in spades. Go there, but put away your matches.

Sew What's New
Back in the early days of Boston Public Access, I was riveted to this show! And no, I can't sew. What a delight to find this show on youtube. And there's a documentary about George too. The scissors never leave the table!

Western Cards
Little Gems, is a clever Tumblr site that features some peachy design work and vintage pics. Ran across this series of Western cards on the site and thought the PCL Nation would enjoy.

Mouth & MacNeal - How Do You Do (1972)
Our esteemed colleague, splogman waxed poetic about this pop duo from the Netherlands in previous posts. In this clip they lip-sync their way through their biggest hit in the States, How Do You Do, complete with a creepy drunk doll and crazed fans pogoing their way through the madness. Skoal, bothers and sisters.

FUMAR!
I am KNOCKED OUT over the Catalogue of Cigarette Papers. I had no idea that the level of decoration (in the form of mostly chromolithograph) existed for this type of product, and that images of the packets have been archived.

Saxual healing
Charlie Parker once said: “Don't play the saxophone. Let it play you.”
All this guy really needs to do is to play an ordinary solo for about 10 secs. But with a sexy sax bouncing againt his six pack he gets carried away. I really enjoyed this video. The only worry I had was that it would end up with an intercourse between the lady dancer and the sax player - making the video impossible to post on a chaste blog like PCL. Spoiler: It doesn't happen. But pretty much everything else happens if we are talking body language.
Thanks to Marina Stjernvall

Egyptian pulp-magazins
Frits Jonker took pictures of a collection of Egyptian pulp mags at the comic convention in Haarlem (NL), that he attended to present his spectacular own new book (of which hopefully I will post more in the near future)
More overhere and in the coming days at Frits' blog.
