Scary Movies.
Since Halloween is approaching, it's naturally a good time for another round of "What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?" At the top of my short list is the original version of "The Haunting" from 1963. What's yours?

The Haunting book is fantastic too. As for movies, I think Night of the Living Dead is my top, then Carnival of Souls, and then Horror Hotel just for the fun of it. But god, I just love the genre of pre-1980 horror.
Those are all solid choices. "Carnival of Souls" in particular is pretty great, although some people I've tried to share it with have scoffed at it for being cheesy. I guess some of the execution hasn't translated well to modern sensibilities. But I also suppose that some people just have no imagination.
All Adam Sandler movies terrify me.
