The World Famous Dionne Quintuplets

story/photographs about the world-famous Dionne Quintuplets
{Popular Science/February, 1937}

Born May 28th, 1934, The Dionne sisters (Annette, Cecile, Yvonne, Emilie and Marie) were the world's first living quintuplets. Billed as The Dionne Quintuplets, the adorable French-Canadian litter, were naturally abused and exploited like circus freaks from the time they were born. Unlike they brats from the reality television program, Jon and Kate Plus Eight, The Dionne Quintuplets were conceived naturally, immediately snatched away from their (poor) parents by their government and placed them in a "home" called "Quintland" where millions of dollars were made off of them.

Two of the Dionne quints are still living. Reportedly, they are pretty bitter and broke.

You left out the allegations that some of the sisters were sexually abused by their father. Plenty of shame to spread around.
