The 1970s Egyptian pop song "Elli Shatr Enhaa Tgannen" by Sami Ali & Sahar Hamdy was deemed too hot for the airwaves--the liner notes of Y'alla--Hitlist Egypt describe it as "a rude and raunchy wedding song, with a spirit too suggestive of sex for the authorities, who banned it". (The "Je T'aime Moi Non Plus" of Egypt, apparently). Hamdy was a dancer "who makes studied obscenity her hallmark". Sadly, there is no photo of her available.
