John Zoller's Coloring Pages
Indians Often Attacked The People Who Invaded Their Land (2005)
I discovered the paintings and collages of Miami area artist John Zoller several years ago on his StumbleUpon site, leading me to his web site, which is chock full of visual goodness. His United States: Color and Learn series were inspired by the often stern and humorless educational coloring books of the 50s and 60s, but filled in by someone hell-bent on utilizing the entire box of 64 Crayolas.
His more recent works feature greater splashes of color from glitter, pom-poms, googly eyes, and phosphorescent paint.
Miners Coming Out Of A Coal Mine In The Hills Of West Virginia (2007)
Mr. Zoller always colors nicely within the lines (unlike myself, who has been known to sometimes color right off the page).
