"Back in 1983 Mykel Board (known for both the bands Art and Artless, as well as his long, still running stint at Maximum Rock and Roll) compiled an LP of bands that were considered hated at the time, either due to content or stage presence and named it “The You’ll Hate This Record Record”. Looking back, they probably were hated, but this record’s actually pretty tame compared to many groups who have followed. Hell, even the GG tracks are among his most radio friendly.
