Week 29 - Celebrities - Leonard Nimoy

William Shatner only made one album back in the old days (yeah there was a new one last year which wasn’t too bad). His fellow trekkie Leonard Nimoy went a bit further and burped up five between 1967 and 1970 all on Dot Records (what were they thinking? Or were they just chewing away at alien mushrooms). Spock never reaches the heights of Captain Kirks sole effort although there are the occasional gem among his quite flat performances. Here’s our current favourite from Two Sides of Leonard Nimoy (1968): "I am not Spock"... well, maybe part of me is Spock and part of me is Jacques Brel. Yeah, you wish! Listening to this will save you a lot of time as well, no need to read the book, here you get the whole story and we finally get to know what those hobbits really are smoking in their pipes.

10. Leonard Nimoy – The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins

Watch the video here (Putfile). rather poor quality - but we think you'll kind of enjoy it anyway.
