A romantic Valentine's gift from WM Recordings!

Various Artists - Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka: Porn Music for the Masses vol. 2

In 2004 the release of Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka - Porn Music For The Masses Vol. 1 on Comfortstand.com caused quite a stir. Four years later it is one of the most downloaded netlabel releases ever.

Now WM Recordings brings you a new dose of "Porn Music Magic" to swing to/by, thanks to mr_melvis, the same producer who brought you WCWC vol.1.

Twenty tunes of porn groovieness and one bonus track with a 'Behind The Scenes' look at the industry will be sure to titillate even the most repressed listeners. It's time to turn those lights down low again, and get it on - Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka!

Games, Dames, & Guitar Thangs

This evening, Mr. Baikinange & I were talking about the good old days, and he sighed deeply & longed for a copy of an obscure album by Funkadelic guitarist Eddie Hazel that was released in 1977 entitled Games, Dames & Guitar Thangs. Well, about 30 seconds later, the rare & elusive album was located online, and Mr. B was a very happy man. He claims Eddie Hazel is one of the top 10 guitarists of all time, and though 70s funk is not really my thing (though I did have a great time at the George Clinton concert he took me to a few years back), since it brought him so much happy, I thought it might appeal to some of you. Possibly more than Argentinian cuchi songs.

The Cuchi Has Landed!

My dear, dear, dear new friend Alejandro from Discos Bizarros Argentinos has e-mailed me a copy of the title song from this splendid looking album by Jose Bohr. Apparently he has over 20,000 albums of cheezy Argentine music, so I have a LOT of begging to do if I want to tap into that collection. He has graciously allowed me to share this with the group....so do enjoy the title cut Cuchi-Cu.

The Beatles and the french press

They all had something to write about the beatles!

Mr Dantefontana told me about this blog: bonsoirparis.com (written in french), and this is a cool blog indeed, exclusively dedicated to the beatlemania through the french press during the 60's. All stories and rumors, true or false, that could have been written about the boys. Mathilde graciously shares her collection, all kinds of vintage french newspapers and magazines, musical or not, full of rare photos and detailed interviews and articles, some are very serious others are hilarious or pathetic, but they all had something to write about The Beatles.

Si tu es un peu nostalgique et que tu parles francais, go check bonsoirparis.com!

For those of you who don't speak le francais there is a ton of RARE pictures to look at.

SB :: Karlheinz's Songs of Praise

february 12, 2008
=============================
For a special tribute edition of Aligre FM's "Songs of Praise" I dug up the original audio cassette recording of an interview we did with Karlheinz Stockhausen more than twenty five years ago, in november 1982, at the time he was composing Samstag aus Licht and with family and friends/collaborators for a period of thirty five days 'occupied' the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (the Netherlands).

This SoundBlog edition's podcast consists in a special 30 minutes 'Stockhausen on dictaphone' reportage around three large audio extracts taken from this historic recording, in which Stockhausen, among other things elaborates on the process of composing his thirteenth piano piece (Lucifer's Dream), on the nature of time, on pop music, on what's wrong with collage, and on the 'terrible decadence' of western culture, and western music in particular ...

I Need the Bizarro Argentianian music, please.....

Can some talented and multilingual person please go to this site of bizarre Argentinian music and please help me figure out how to actually download the music and not just put it on a playlist on some incredibly pointless site called ijigg? I NEED the Beetles Americanos and the cuchi-cu (GOOD LORD that IS quite a cuchi-cu, isn't it though?) and can't can't can't figure out to save the music for my very own on my iTunes. You can post the answer here, in English por favor and not Argentinian or Portuguese or Serbo-Croatian or whatever they speak in Argentina, you can even use my super secret e-mail address baikinange(AT)hotmail(DOT)com, I'm well stocked on the low cost Viagra by mail and barnyard porn thank you very much, so answers to my question only, please. But this IS a personal emergency, you do understand, don't you.
