El Diabolik's World of Psychotronic Soundtracks

El Diabolik's World of Psychotronic Soundtracks is a film soundtrack and Library Music podcast. And, it is great! I just listened to their 5:th episode, the German Special. With artists like Manfred Hubler, Gert Wilden, Berry Lipman and James Last - a podcast must be a winner! And we also get to hear lesser known hits like this from Christer Bladin:

Sonic Safari Halloween Mix

The employees of The Discotheque At The End Of The Universe are on strike after one of the girls supervising the Cardassian roulette presumably was eaten by flying zombies from the Alpha Piscis Austrini system. Nogatiations will probably take a week. The management advices the regulars to go on a halloween sonic safari instead:

Play Ball

It's the greatest time of the year for us "seamheads". Another excuse to stay up half the night, take control of the idiotbox while quaffing vast quantities of cheap beer and inhaling chicken and pork products.

In between innings or in between pitches you might enliven your experience by cuing up tunes and clips from this outstanding collection of baseball themed nuggets.

It's a Beautiful Day for a Ball Game - The Harry Simeone Singers

SB :: Karlheinz's Songs of Praise

february 12, 2008
=============================
For a special tribute edition of Aligre FM's "Songs of Praise" I dug up the original audio cassette recording of an interview we did with Karlheinz Stockhausen more than twenty five years ago, in november 1982, at the time he was composing Samstag aus Licht and with family and friends/collaborators for a period of thirty five days 'occupied' the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (the Netherlands).

This SoundBlog edition's podcast consists in a special 30 minutes 'Stockhausen on dictaphone' reportage around three large audio extracts taken from this historic recording, in which Stockhausen, among other things elaborates on the process of composing his thirteenth piano piece (Lucifer's Dream), on the nature of time, on pop music, on what's wrong with collage, and on the 'terrible decadence' of western culture, and western music in particular ...

The Cartoonist Talks

The Cartoonist has launched a podcast. It will be a series of podcasts called The Cartoonist Talks. I guess he thinks it's kind of boring just talking to himself so this series will probably also always present someone the Cartoonist discusses with as well. Kind of like an interview - but a little more lose and free spirit.
In this his first podcast he talks to Knox, singer of the "veteran" British punk band The Vibrators.
This is the first of 2 intallments of this "pub conversation".
Some samples of the music of the Vibrators can be heard as well.
I really liked this first podcast. If you like punk music, post-punk or just love music in general I think you really should subscribe to this podcast (via iTunes) . The rumour says the Cartoonist will meet up with other really cool characters in a near future. So, stay tuned.

Radio Bastet's Podcast

Marisa, who runs Radio Bastet used to have a show at Live365 and she also shared some really fantastic vinyl rips during 2005 through her site.
Now it's time for some rhythmic and vibrating bellycasting, so to speak.
Radio Bastet's got a podcast!
"Podcasting old-school bellydance music from the 1950's through the 1980's"

Marisa also links to some great vintage bellydance video clips.
Like this with Naima Akif (From a 1957 movie):
