Easy for YOU to Say
The female singer/dancer is Marie Bryant, who you can read about here. The reference in the article about her making calypso recordings makes me wonder if she is the same Marie Bryant who sings Don't Touch Me Tomato from this album.

Sil-ja-Bloo and lots more

What fun to discover an unknown (to me) be-bop scat singer--check out the chops of Sweden's Gunnar Nilson I found at The 78RPM Blog--the back-up combo works for me, too. I also found some other interesting oddities, ranging from the country song "Shut and Drink Your Beer" to the "Snarkologi" (Tell me how you snore and I'll tell you who you are) to the sad tale of Swedish singer Ernst Rolf who didn't quite mean to kill himself.

Mina and Caterina
Mina Mazzini and Caterina Valente don't really need the orchestra backup, they seem to be able to create the effect of an entire big band between the two of them.
You need more Caterina, you say? Greedy monkey, here ya go, ""Two Ladies in de Shade of de Banana Tree".

Songs of turkey tonsil sandwiches, Model T Fords, boll weevils, wedding cakes, and yes honey, sock me on the nose, meet 1940s singer Leo Watson and be transformed.
