The Corn Wine Odyssey of The Flower People from Stonehenge
Buried deep in the bowels of my computer were photos and video; four years before I became a member of PCL, I attended Concert For A Cause: An Evening with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer. The concert benefited the International Myeloma Foundation. The surprise guests were Jane Lynch and Van Dyke Parks!
We arrived early, stood in line and were treated like cattle. But once inside, we strolled directly to the front of the stage. Harry Shearer was my personal runway bitch, posing and smiling for my camera. The show was really fun! Lots of Folksmen songs from A Mighty Wind and of course, Spinal Tap. Sadly, they did NOT play Jazz Odyssey. But, like a fine corn wine, these shots and video have aged long enough to post. So here they are, from August 27, 2007... THIS IS SPINAL TAP!... singing Corn Wine by the Folskmen, who are really these three guys who showed up in jeans.
