Best O' Dreamland: Music from John Waters' Films

Here are "three entries with music from the great John Waters' early features. By no means every track, as there are tons, but a good selection for those of you who either love Dreamland's productions, rock 'n' roll, doo wop or 50's novelty records. ..."
These compilations were posted some months ago, but are still available. And they are of course great!

R.I.P., Chicklett (Susan Walsh)

From Dreamland News, where I'm doing a verbatim cut and paste, because who could have written it better?

February 10, 2009

Bad news, kids. A Dreamland legend has passed. Susan Walsh who played the beloved Chicklett in Female Trouble died of natural causes on February 6. Susan also played Suzie in Pink Flamingos - she's the first girl in the pit! There was a brief obit in the Baltimore Sun today. She is survived by two daughters and a brother. There are no public services.

Dig-a-roonie, an Unofficial Female Trouble Mini-Soundtrack!

As usual I am a day late and a dollar short, or however the saying goes, wouldn't it have been nice to have a copy of Divine's cha-cha heels tirade from the 1974 classic "Female Trouble" to play on Christmas day? Well, you're ready for next year anyway, with an unofficial "mini-soundtrack" of Female Trouble, courtesy of Universal Horror Sounds. Also contains "Dig" by Nervous Norvus, and Divine's divine performance of the title tune.

And wouldn't Divine have been pleased with how slim she was made to look in the unofficial soundtrack album jacket?
