All very organic and earth-mother like. As they say "Meh".
What really got my heart rate aroused was the chapter on "Canning and Drying Meat and Poultry". Processing meat......that's the beefcake, virile approach! Let's leave the jams and jellies for the "little woman" to manage. I'm stoked about rendering lard, butchering carcasses and headcheese techniques........ until I see how much fucking work is involved (and the alcohol wore off).
The decision to purchase the fruits of another homesteaders efforts seemed to be the wiser choice. Next stop all the Dollar Store and cheap ass Acme marts I can find in search of......
