Sam Spence is an American composer whose work is best known as the soundtrack of NFL Films. Any American boy worth his salt would be hard pressed not to blast his little brother with a Dick Butkus forearm shiver after hearing the bombastic arrangements of Mr. Spence.
Titles like "West Side Rumble", "The Equalizer", "Salute To Courage" and "The Power and The Glory" pretty much sum up the pompous character of the genre. Often accompanied by the Voice of God and awe inspiring film of our gridiron heroes kicking the bejesus out of each other, NFL Films paved the way for the immense popularity of the game today.
Now go ahead and find that scrawny sibling and clothesline him ala Chuck Bednarik while humming along......
