The hideous, modern day phenomena called Black Friday is upon us here in the USA. Thousands of bargain starved miscreants roam our malls in search of the elusive $250 laptop, the $400 flat screen TV or the loathsome "Guitar Hero" video game set.
Are the masses in Sweden behaving this way today?
As I contemplate the idiocy of getting in line at your local Wally World at 4AM, my mind goes back to a gentler time when discount department stores like Korvette's roamed the earth.
Discount Stores of the 60's offers us a glimpse into a bygone era where one could always find the latest Herman's Hermits record for $3.99.
