Arnie in Rio.

Brazil... Hm.
What is Mr. Fronning doing "down" there?
Arnold knows! He's not just a governor - he is an ass connaisseur as well (maybe that is why he seems to feel so good about himself. I don't know... )
We are going to the carnival in Rio with Arnie. It's Brazil. But it's not Sao Paulo.
But, P-E Fronning might catch a glimpse of ass anyway. Maybe his own if he has a big mirror in his hotel room.
Don't miss out on the moment when Arnold teach a women how to say suck in English.
Anyway, here it is:

The Man Who Invented Album Covers
"Most people who have bought any musical recordings over the past 60 years might have assumed they always came in covers, or sleeves, or jackets, that featured a colorful graphic designed to enhance the lure of the music. They didn't. Album covers had to be invented. This was a task that largely fell to a Brooklyn kid named Alex Steinweiss. ..."

Much more about Alex and his invention here (also with quite a few nice examples). And here's the Wiki-entry on Alex Steinweiss.

Bound for Glory (at the Library of Congress): "America in Color is the first major exhibition of the little known color images taken by photographers of the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information. These vivid scenes and portraits capture the effects of the Depression on America's rural and small town populations, the nation's subsequent economic recovery and industrial growth, and the country's great mobilization for World War II." Week 34 - Swedish Celebrities
We thought we round things up with a few Swedish celeb recordings. Film star Stellan Skarsgård did have a long and varied career in Sweden before hitting the international film screens. He started out as a kid in the TV-series Bombi Bitt in the late 1960s. Trying to earn a few extra bucks this spin-off single (1968) hit the shops and that’s about all it did. Stellan is still a bit touchy about this one but we just love that jacket. Inger Nilsson played Pippi Longstockings, to much acclaim, in the three original movies. But back then no one thought that much about tax planning so after the success of her films the IRS came down hard on her. So hard that she ended up owing more than she had earned (that’s Sweden for you). In a really strange move to earn some money to pay them off this disco single (1977) appeared. Only trouble was that it was so bad that no one – and we do mean no one – bought it. Yet another Swedish film star trying to dip into the disco trend was Bond bird Britt Ekland, not favouring much better with the public in 1979, mostly selling a few copies because of a nude cover version.

ELO Videos
3 videos (high quality - patience while downloading!) from one of my favorite albums from the 70s: Discovery (1979) by ELO (believe it or not!) linked by Puño on his blog."Confusion", "Last Train to London" and "Midnight Blue".
Not my favorite videos from that time. Abba was way ahead of these boring guys... but, the songs and the sound: top class!
Herman Cohen

Herman Cohen discusses the script with two of his stars.
Found in 'Behind the Scenes > Konga (1961)'.
"Cohen was born in Detroit and began his career in film as a youngster, working at the Fox theater there, trading his work for film passes for himself and his family. After serving in the Army, Cohen worked as a sales manager for the Detroit branch of Columbia Pictures before moving to Hollywood. He earned his first screen credit in 1951, as assistant producer of BRIDE OF THE GORILLA, and served the same role in 1952's BELA LUGOSI MEETS A BROOKLYN GORILLA.
WEREWOLF starred then-unknown Michael Landon as an angry teen, sent to an unscrupulous doctor for hypnotherapy, who is instead given an experimental serum that transforms him into a bloodthirsty werewolf. ..."

Bob Dylan: Clothesline Saga

1960, 1990, 1998.
"When I first saw Dylan live in 1992, I expected him to be wearing a hood. I was surprised to see him dressed like the dandified gent in the above right picture. Since I love 19th-century clothing, I'm mostly interested in the 1860s-style suits and ties he favors nowadays. The following is a brief chronology of the clothing Dylan has worn onstage."
